I called him Frank it just seemed to fit. I’ve never painted a frog before although I’ve had them in my garden many times and place water and dishes around to encourage them. Of course this little fella would be found in Northern Australia. My little brown frogs wont sit still long enough for a photo shoot. I haven’t given up trying though. Watch this space.
His call sounds like a dog barking but when in distress it sounds like a cats meow.
The female can reproduce after two years of age and lives until about ten years old. They can also breath through their skin and contact with humans should be avoided as any oil on hands can damage their skin and therefore affect their livelihood.
