Kookaburras are known as natures alarm clocks. They rarely drink water and they generally remain together nesting in the same tree year after year. There isn’t a much more Australian bush sound than a kookaburra however their lovely laughter sound is really a territorial warning to other birds than ‘sorry this space is taken’.
